Background and Expertise:

Gentiana Gashi is an experienced Project Coordinator with a strong background in startup incubation, entrepreneurship, and public policy. With a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy & Governance, Management & Entrepreneurship from the Rochester Institute of Technology, she combines academic knowledge with practical experience in fostering innovation and supporting early-stage ventures. Her career has primarily focused on helping entrepreneurs develop sustainable businesses, and she is passionate about community development and policy advocacy.

Current Role:

Gentiana currently serves as the Entrepreneurship Project Coordinator at the Makerspace Innovation Center Prizren. In this role, she is involved in managing and coordinating startup incubation programs, organizing workshops, and engaging with local communities to support entrepreneurship. She also applies methodologies like Agile and Scrum in her project management processes to ensure efficiency and adaptability.

Previous Experience:

Prior to her current position, Gentiana gained valuable experience in various internships and roles, including:

  • Policy Intern at the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, where she supported policy analysis, research, and nonprofit event planning.
  • Intern at the Assembly of Kosovo with Democracy Plus, where she focused on research and administrative support.
  • Operations Support at Curv Logistics, where she gained operational insights into logistics and system monitoring.
  • Roles in video editing, customer service, and business operations, including working with Comitas AG and Seal Skin Covers, allowed Gentiana to refine her skills in communication, customer relationship management, and technical support.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy & Governance, Management & Entrepreneurship, Rochester Institute of Technology.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification expected in November 2024. 

Volunteering and Social Impact:

Gentiana has also contributed to her community by coordinating a project for Women and Children through Kuvendi i te Rinjeve te Prizrenit, focusing on civil rights and social action.
